Deforestation

It opens like any horror movie: an axe, a dark forest, a man walking into the mist. Then it gets scarier, because this story is real. 87 seconds about the crisis most people never see, and a choice about how it ends.

How the story unfolds

The fall. An axe, a chainsaw, a forestry mulcher tearing through the undergrowth. Grainy footage of felled trunks and logging tracks, and one number: 42 million trees cut down every day.

The damage. Card by card, the film counts what follows: extreme weather, air pollution, floods, desertification, soil erosion, biodiversity loss, and the impact on people.

The turn. The felled trunk turns green. Sunrise over the valleys, tree nurseries, seedlings in the ground, and a message: reverse deforestation.
